i know honda's and most cars have the code in the glove box, or they come with the paperwork for the car, generally stuffed in the manual.

With some car radios it gets so cold it kinda forgets and u can listen to it or you could go to a car shop and they will charge u about a fiver to get the code and unlock it for you just try them no harm in trying is therethe easiest thing to do is go to a main dealer for the make of the car for example a Vokswagen main dealer and if you give them the registration of the vehicle they should be able to give you the radio code.sometimes the sticker with the code is stuck on the inside of the door sils or behind the ashtray.Gray is right on the money, I would use the memory retainer also.
