What happens 2 the car when u change the battery, but u put it the wrong way?

Worst case scenario is, you burnt out expensive diodes (electric one-way valves) in alternator or voltage regulator. You burnt up the diode in your dash board electronics. You fried expensive operating computers. You exploded a few fuses. Your charge fuse melted all over your fuse box. If you installed the battery wrong way around, usually it will spark to tell you there is a problem. Pay attention to this and think things through, a little. RED is positive; BLACK is negative. Engines, unlike houses, where designed to run on direct current (DC) and not alternating current (AC). Get it?? Got it?? Good!! Hopefully, there will be no lasting problems! Good Luck!!What happens 2 the car when u change the battery, but u put it the wrong way?it could blow out your alternater. did it smoke from anywhere and did you cath the mistake right a way?

Now there is a one way valve for electricity in the alternator, and when the battery is in the right way round it should prevent the battery from rapidly running down.

When the one way valve is allowing the current to pass an unlimited amount of current through it, we have the one way valve loaded way beyond capacity, and the alternator would hope to have a breaker to stop this high flow of current.

Look for blown fuse or tripped breaker in the alternator circuit. The rectifier may be toast.

One hopes that you immediately corrected the problem.

Your ignition system would not likely work while the battery is reversed, and may have a damaged module.

Why bother? If you know it is in the wrong way just go back and fix it, don't risk anything on a nice car...I doubt anything will happen companies probably plan for accidents.
