No power in my 87 honda prelude after changing the battery?

I was changing the battery on my 87 honda prelude and accidently hooked up the positive wire with the negative outlet on the battery Now the car has no power what so ever. What is wrong with it and how do i fix it with minimal cost.No power in my 87 honda prelude after changing the battery?you definately blew the main fuse, as far as other damage I would not think so. the fuse is in the under hood fuse box, and under the cover it is the one marked battery, and is about 1.5 inches long and held in by two phillips screws.

make sure the battery is disconnected before you put the new one in

check your fuses the main fuse may have blown

two things happen in this event, first you blow the voltage regulator in the alternator, and you can pop a fuse or two. double check the connections at the battery first THEN check the fuses, THEN have the charging system looked at. a very expensive mistake.
