Help! my car battery is dead and the oil is leaking i havent drove my car for 6 months i need advice?

i havent drove it bc my dad(r.i.p) never left a living will im almost done paying off the car its at my aunts house just sitting there the battery is 4 yrs old and the the oil change was due what should i do?Help! my car battery is dead and the oil is leaking i havent drove my car for 6 months i need advice?DO NOT JUMP START IT or anything else. You first want to remove the spark plugs. An engine that has not been run may have no oil pressure at start up and removing the spark plug will allow the oil pump to work. You might even spray WD-40 into the spark plug holes. Buy a new battery, a 4 year old battery is not worth the trouble. Change the oil and filter. Check the coolant. Drain the fuel tank, have the fuel lines and carb cleaned. Look at everything closely as rodents or rot may inhabit the engine compartment. When you are ready then crank the engine a few times to insure oil pressure then install spark plugs. If it starts right away watch the oil pressure, shut down if no pressure or you hear knocking or clattering. Call a mechanic.

I would like to add that gasoline has a 30 day shelf life and starts to turn into %26quot;varnish%26quot;. I dries and adheres to wherever it is: clogging small passages in your carb or fuel injectors and make your vehicle run badly. In the spring you can see people everywhere pulling the lawn mower starter ropes to no avail, the mowers won't start because they did not drain and blow out the fuel system last fall! Old gas will smell like turpentine and sometimes onions. If you want to store gas add a stabilizer to fresh fuel, it won't help old fuel.

Is oil leaking still? If the vehicle has just been sitting then the oil is all in the oil pan and won't leak out of gaskets. Probably the oil drain plug was not tightened properly or damaged when the oil was changed. A damaged plug (threads stripped) can be replaced with a rubber one from Auto Zone et al.

Relax. Put a brand new battery in it and change the oil. Put a few gallons of fresh gas in the tank. Check the tire pressure and the other fluids.

The battery is gone because it's been dead for so long and old. That's just how car battery's are. You can try to charge it and it may in fact work for a little bit but there not designed to sit dead at all.

Don't judge how it runs and drive's until you've driven it for a bit because it's been sitting for so long. Like 30 miles.
{Sorry for your lose} Replace the Battery [Time at 4 years] Year %26amp; Mileage of Car? (Oil Leak?) Most likely the Oil Pan Gasket %26amp; if higher on the block Possible Head Gasket.
throw a few gallons of fresh gas in and get a jump start or a new batterie change the oil and filter make sure all fluids are topped off nd tires are in shape for the highway
