Car Key Fob battery change - Do i need to reprogramme it again?

I have a Fiat Bravo 1.2 (2001)...i think the battery went dead months ago and i only just changed it, but it doesn't work, so does it mean i have to reprogramme it? How do i reprogramme it, can i do it myself or do i have to go to a specialist Fiat Garage?

Thanks.

Yes you have to re program it

If you have the Owners Manual it will tell you how.

Normally you have a certain amount of time from the time you take out the battery to getting the new one in so you do not have this problem. But you have to change it before the battery looses all power.

yes it has to go into fiat very few people have the software to re program the keys and they cannot re program one key only there has to be two and they cost 拢135 each that's how much i had to pay for a spare key for my multipla last month if you loose both keys it mega money to repair as you have have a new ecu .

yes u do have to reprogramme it,you might be able to do it urself have a look on the net and u might find a site that will tell u how to do it,if not then yes u will have to take it to a fiat garage for them to do it.
Ask the question on this web site you might have a better response.
