I need to change my battery on my car will my factory fitted stereo still work?

when i bought my car i didnt get the code for the stereo but i thort seen as its factory fitted would it still work even tho i need to put a new battery in the carI need to change my battery on my car will my factory fitted stereo still work?If it is coded it will need the code after a battery change. If it is not coded it will not - simple as that.

if you disconnect your battery it will reset your radio. if your radio needs a code then you will have to enter this to restart your radio, the code can be found in your owners manual if you have one most cars have a separate audio manual so be sure to check there too. if you dont have any manuals then go to your local main dealership they will be able to find the code by using your chassis or vin number but be aware some dealers may charge you for this

Audi's unlike Fords do not have radio codes so you will be fine.

If your unsure most garages have the facility to change the battery whilst keeping a 12v supply going to the battery terminals.
get a 9v battery out of your smoke alarm and attach an old cigar lighter type plug to it and plug it in. job done. the small ampage is enough to stop everything resetting while the battery is off. put the battery back in smoke alarm, dont forget that bit!
No you will need the code to operate the radio again.
