Car remote battery keeps dying why?

Every week I have to change my car key remote battery because it does not work any more. Why is this happening. It was amazing that when I took out the battery out of my key and miss an press the lock bottom on my key the car locked. What had me puzzled was that there wasn't any battery in the key. This happened once.Car remote battery keeps dying why?Sounds like you have a problem with your keyless remote. Maybe you are sitting on the button while I drive and killig the battery. Or maybe the battery itself just won't hold a charge anymore. Charge it, take the battery out for a week and then put it back in and see if it's dead. If it dies without being in the remote then replace the battery. As for the car locking with no battery, it's possible that there is a capacitor in there that had enough juice to power one keypunch. Or maybe you might be high. lol. I bet it's just a bad battery, sounds like it.

It's possible that button is sticking on your fob and sending a constant signal. This would drain the battery.
