How often will you change your car battery?

usually a battery will need to be changed ever 3-5 years .How often will you change your car battery?It depends on the environment. I lived in Phoenix for 25 years and never had a battery survive three summers, but here in Flagstaff where the temperatures are cooler I am getting 7-8 years from batteries. Batteries that are not under the hood last longer in hot climates.

it can vary with different climates as well as with different type vehicles. but for the most part around 5 yrs. have had them go a lot longer.for instance in 1986 i got a new truck and kept it till 1995 and it still had original battery when i traded it off.
