Automotive help! Just changed car battery...?

So I just installed a new car battery, and now, my car will not start, and the car's alarm goes off uncontrollably. Even if I unlock the car with the key, or with the key-chain, the alarm is still set, and still goes off. The battery is obviously charged, and I think the alarm problem and the car not starting are being caused by the same issue.

I drive a 2001 Ford Escape, and right now, it is sitting with the battery disconnected.

Just need some clearance as to how to eliminate the alarm problem!

Thanks!Automotive help! If this is a after market alarm then just try to pull the fuse for the alarm.
Automotive help! Just changed car battery...?
If you installed the neg terminal first, before the pos, you created a short in the alarm system. Install the positive battery cable first, then the neg, see if this helps. Or you will have to remove the alarm fuse and get the alarm checked.
refer to oners manual on how to re set alarm or if know what fuse is for a larm pull fuse
try the batt in your clicker a new one then hook your car batt up the a-bo will go off use the key in d/s door ti deactavate the a-bo ??
