i have Honda civic 2000 LX. is there anyway i can find out when to change my battery? thanks.How can i find out when i can change my car battery?Most shops have a battery tester, or charging system analysis, when the battery fails either test, it's time to replace it. Good thing you dont live here in Arizona, you have to replace batteries every two years because of the heat.

look at the date on the battery when it was bought and put in it, if its over 5 years old its usually a good idea to replace them,most battery's have a purchase date on the top of them,good luck.
