hi, i bought a new battery for my car and i was just wondering how much is it to get it fitted on?How much is it to get car battery changed (uk)?It shouldn't cost too much but you should be able to change it yourself or ask a friend to do it for you. It doesn't take long.



Disconnect the negative (-) black wire from the old battery and then disconnect the positive (+) red wire.



Then take the old battery out and put the new one in.



Now connect the positive (+) red wire to the new battery and then the negative (-) black wire.



That's it - easy!



The only thing you really need to remember when connecting/disconnecting batteries, is to always disconnect the negative first, and connect it last.

Can't believe someone bought a car battery from a place that didn't fit for free. Especially when not mechanically minded.



Make damn sure you connect correctly in the right order too, if you do give it a go. Because you will only ever get it wrong once. They can, do, kill. Surely you have a neighbour who tinkers with his car. Most guys would be happy to help someone who was unsure. They know it's important to do it the right way. PLUS your car manual probably has a page giving details.
