I have a volvo v40. Battery disconnected to try on another car to start it..worked fine, put back onto volvo but now it stalls in low revs..cant coast or it stalls, wont tick over or it stalls..tried to give it a few long runs to sort it self out but no better..any help please?Changed the battery on my car now it keeps stalling?Check out your alternator and the connections from it to the harness and as well as the battery connections. If everything seems alright, throw a charger(trickle preferably) on the battery overnight. There is also a good chance the car is in whats known as %26quot;limp%26quot; mode. Some computers go into a data acquisition mode when disconnected from the battery, and it might take some time driving it around before it %26quot;relearns%26quot; the fuel and timing tables based on what the sensors are telling it.Changed the battery on my car now it keeps stalling?Some cars lose data which is used for engine management when you disconnect the battery.
You need to ask your Volvo dealer if it's possible that it has happened to you.
