Car battery changed...now new prob!?

I just changed my car battery.when i start the car now,i am not able to play the stereo system in the car as it asks for a code!

Mine is a '99 S type Jag. Dont know how to go about this.Any suggestions welcomeCar battery changed...now new prob!?try looking for the code in the audio handbook there is sometimes a detachable card in there if you are lucky it may still be there otherwise i am afraid you ll have to go to the dealer
Car battery changed...now new prob!?
if your in the uk then just phone the nearest jag main dealer quoting your chassis number and registration no(when new)and they should give you the code from their records free of charge

When the battery went flat the radio will have started up a security system. For all the battery knows the radio has been removed from the car by a radio thief!!

What you need to do is take the car back to your local dealer, take your drivers licence and the V5 for the car. They will charge about 拢15 to re-program the radio for you.

Ja.
it should be in your hand book try looking there
Easiest option is to go to main dealer. They will re code the sound system for about 20 quid.

It's not a problem, it's a security thing to prevent people nicking your radio
You have to contact the manufacturers for the code.
a 1.5 volt battery is what u should have kept in between the 2 terminals when u disconected the battery,,take the power of the radio for 30 mins re conect and put in code .
Hi there you can do one of three things look for the car manuel and that should have the code in it, take the stereo out and get it decoded, or you could fit a new stereo, first of all though go to a Jaguar dealer ship and they might help you out by looking on there database.
