Changing a car battery?

is this something that can be done easily? or would i have to pay a mechanic to do it, is it expensive labour?|||Most places, even Wall mart install the batteries they sell for free.

However it can be done at home with a few precautions and some basic hand tools. Remember to disconnect the ground cable first and to re install it last. Make sure all cable connections are clean and free of corrosion before you put the cables back on.|||Very easy. Just remember to clean the terminal clamps.|||Yes, you can do it. Batteries are heavy, and ocuard to remove from the vehicle. Most car batteries are going to be under the hood of the car, very cheap labor to replace. If you happen to have a some chrysler cars, the battery is going to be behind the front fender by the tire. and if you have a european car it could be either in the trunk are, or under the rear seat.|||its not hard to do!, all you do is take the terminals off the battery, then you have a hold down bolt, down at the bottom of the battery, take it off and pull the battery straight out.
