you need a bigger alternator..

or get a smaller system

Take it to a place that checks the battery for free. Also, make sure it isn't something else causing that problem.

change it
its your alternator for a high power stereo u can buy an alternator that is made for the extra power u need with the factory one it will slowly burn it out but your battery might be weak now if u kept draining it go to auto zone or advance they will test both for free
That big stereo is causing the lights to dim, and probably putting a strain on the alternator. Get the battery checked, and think about wiring the amp so that you don't prematurely kill your alternator. Your options from least expensive to most expensive are:

turn down the power draw on your stereo system

install/wire in a capacitor

install a second battery with heavy gauge wiring

upgrade your alternator

Most people opt for a capacitor.
When you put in the %26quot;Big Stereo%26quot; did you also add a cap and upgrade your alternator to take the extra load you put on the system? If not, that is your problem. Do so. If so, you may have a failing battery, have it checked.
if its a stock battery it wouldnt hurt. sometimes it cuold also be that your alternater is not givin enough amps to the battery to charge. it would br best to find a higher amp output alternator and battery. thats if your still boomin that stereo system.
get a charging system check to see that the battery and alternator are good, running a high powered car stereo system can be hard on the alternator if it isn't big enough to really handle it properly.
