Citroen c2 wont start after changing battery in key?

I recently changed the battery in the key to my citroen c2 with senso drive and it open and locks the car fine but when i go to start the car nothing happens except for the lights coming on the dash board which i noticed there is a - symbol where n shld be i also here a noise like as if the somethings engaging then disengaging. I have no idea whats happened and only since i changed the battery the car was running fine ??Citroen c2 wont start after changing battery in key?Try putting the old ones back in and try to start it.. its worth a try.. other than that consult your dealer..

How long was the battery out of the key fob for?

Some vehicle key fobs have codes built in %26amp; when you remove the battery the key fob remembers the code for about a minute or so. If a new battery is not inserted within that time the key fob 'loses' its memory %26amp; needs reprogramming at the main agents.

Try starting the vehicle with the spare key if that works contact your main agent to see about getting the key fob reprogrammed.

first thing, to try,put the key in the passenger side door,dont use the fob,but lock and unlock about 5 times and try that.

ok if that doesnt work,disconnect the battery,leave for 10 mins,then try again,still nothing,ok put key in ignition,turn on then press the door lock button and hold in for ten seconds,in fact try this one first? then take key out and re insert it and try to start,im sure the following three options ive gave will start you?
